BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the third beer in its Joose Cannon series, as well as the third release from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse in 2020, Joose Cannon: Key Lime Pie IPA, at 7.25% ABV. This beer will be exclusively available in the Heavy Seas Taproom at the brewery on Friday, March 20th in 4packs of 16oz cans and on draft.

Another exciting twist on our flagship IPA Loose Cannon, Joose Cannon is its hazier, juicer counterpart. Brewed with key lime for zest and lactose for creaminess, this beer is inspired by the sweet and tart flavors of key lime pie. It’s a little slice of sunshine on a rainy, spring day.

“The third beer in our Joose Cannon series is a take on one of my favorite desserts,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Key lime pie has that indulgent, satisfying quality while still being refreshing and fun. We’ve used Lotus and Citra hops, along with lactose, twelve gallons of fresh key lime juice, and yes, graham crackers in the mash. Hopefully folks will find the beer as refreshing, satisfying and fun as I find the pie!”

The Joose Cannon: Key Lime Pie label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Chris Gipple, of Nightshift Creative, who also designed Heavy Seas’ 24 Anniversary beer label this past December. All the taproom exclusive beer labels will be designed by Chris in 2020.

BALTIMORE, MD — Heavy Seas Beer will soon welcome the 2020 edition of Smooth Sail, an American wheat ale with citrus, available in both six-packs of 12oz cans and on draft. The brewery will also introduce an extremely limited, draft-only variant of the beer, Kiwi Strawberry Smooth Sail, brewed with kiwi and strawberries.

Both versions of Smooth Sail will be available starting in April. The Kiwi Strawberry Smooth Sail will only be available in select markets within Heavy Seas’ distribution footprint.

Smooth Sail gets its name from its deliciously drinkable taste. We use lemon and orange peel to give it a pleasant, citrusy finish and wheat malt for its round mouthfeel.

“With more than 20% malted wheat, Smooth Sail has an airy mouthfeel,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “We’ve employed a neutral strain of ‘wheat’ yeast to produce a clean tasting beer that is delicate on the palate. American hops are introduced late in the boil to impart a crisp flavor dimension. Finally, dried orange and lemon peel went into our hopback to provide a fruity, citrus aroma – without adding sweetness.”

For the very special, draft-only variation on Smooth Sail wheat ale, it was brewed with kiwi and strawberries for a bright and fruity twist.

Style: American Wheat Ale with Citrus

ABV: 4.5%

IBU: 18

Malts: 2-Row, Wheat Malt, Carapils

Hops: Warrior, Hallertau, Cascade

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce a new TropiCannon 12pack can sampler that will feature two brand new variants of the popular 7.25% ABV fruited beer: TropiCannon Pineapple IPA and TropiCannon Mango Lime IPA.

The sampler will include six 12oz cans of the original TropiCannon Citrus IPA, and three of each of the new varieties. The new offerings will also be available on draft in limited quantities at select locations. The sampler pack will release in mid-late March and continue to be available until September.

“TropiCannon is such an exciting beer for us at Heavy Seas,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Its fans are extremely passionate about the beer. Because they are so energetic, we wanted to give them something to get even more excited about. We developed two unique variations – Pineapple and Mango Lime – that are very much in keeping with the TropiCannon spirit. It’s a great way to kick off spring and hopefully enjoy ‘Tropi’, as we call it, in two new fun ways.”

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the second release from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse in 2020, Bottomless, a Mimosa Sour. This beer will be exclusively available in the Heavy Seas Taproom at the brewery on February 21, 2020 in 4packs of 16oz cans and on draft.

Bottomless is inspired by the perfect balance of a mimosa. This sour is brewed to be pleasantly dry like champagne, but juice and tart like orange juice. Sunday brunch will never be the same. Bottoms up!

“Our newest Taproom release is a play on the Mimosa,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “We’ve brewed an extremely dry beer, brut if you will, with the addition of some flaked rice to give it extreme drinkability and a touch of that creamy mouth feel one gets from champagne. We’ve added a solid dose of orange juice and just enough citric acid to provide a tart balance. At 7.25% ABV, it’s what one would expect in a super fun, tasty, brunch-inspired brew.”

The Bottomless label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Chris Gipple, of Nightshift Creative, who also designed Heavy Seas’ 24 Anniversary beer label this past December. The brewery will also be introducing an extremely limited, draft only variant of the beer brewed with lactose.

Blackbeard’s Breakfast is a robust porter with a new world twist. Aged in bourbon barrels and brewed with local Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company’s Dark Sumatra coffee, this porter is flavorful and complex. Featuring unique English malts, this brew will have strong notes of caramel and a slight nut character. Paired with bourbon notes and the sumptuous Sumatran Coffee, Blackbeard’s Breakfast will please coffee and beer connoisseurs alike.

For Blackbeard’s Breakfast Tiramisu, we have played up the coffee flavor already present, and used a special chocolate-forward espresso roasted just for this beer. A generous addition of lactose gives you the luxurious mouthfeel and sweetness you’d expect from a delectable slice of tiramisu, and imported cocoa nibs and cocoa powder punch up the chocolate aroma and flavor. There’s always room for dessert.

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is pleased to introduce a brand new offering in 2020 – Hydra’s Haze, a Hazy IPA. This limited release will be available in 12oz cans and on draft in January in all states where Heavy Seas beer is distributed.

One of our haziest beers yet, Hydra’s Haze is one monster of a beer. Brewed with a ridiculous amount of Citra, Galaxy and Enigma hops, this beer isn’t shy about its juiciness. From its dank aroma to its powerful citrus finish, Hydra’s Haze packs an intense hop experience.

“This beer is a bit hazy from heavy use of wheat and oats,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “It has an incredible, explosive juicy, fruity, citrus aroma from employing almost 3 pounds per barrel of Citra, Galaxy, and Enigma hops. It is soft on the palate, with a subtle bitterness but a very high hop flavor. The finish is on the dry side, with a slight lingering sweetness and floral, grapefruit trail. Everything about Hydra’s Haze screams “drink me”, from the striking green packaging, to the alluring foggy appearance, to the sense tingling nose. We’ve only brewed a (relatively) small amount, so make sure you get some when you see it in cans or on draft, as it will be gone before spring kicks into full bloom!”

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the second beer in its Joose Cannon series, and also last release from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse in 2019, Joose Cannon “Froot Joose IPA.” This beer will be exclusively available in the Heavy Seas Taproom at the brewery on Friday, November 22nd in 4packs of 16oz cans and on draft.

Another exciting twist on our flagship IPA Loose Cannon, Joose Cannon is its hazier, juicer counterpart. This brew utilizes Citra, Galaxy and Enigma for insane tropical juiciness inspired by the flavors of fruit punch. Bursting with notes of pineapple and citrus fruits, we call it our little luau in a can. Aloha!

“Joose Cannon Fruit Punch or as we like to say, Froot Joose, is the inspiration for our newest hazy IPA,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Galaxy, Enigma, and Citrus hops lead the charge up this fruit juicy hill, with Guava, Apricot, Mango, Apple, Pineapple, Orange and Cherry juices joining the party to create a fun “punchy” brew that is sure to please. 7.25% ABV, 45 IBU’s support the myriad fruity aromas and flavors. Oats and wheat are in there too, sure, but they’re just along for the ride!”

The Joose Cannon label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Owen Murphy, of One Drop Design Studio, who has designed all of the taproom exclusive beer labels in 2019. This limited release will be available in December in the following states within its distribution footprint: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, Washington, DC, and West Virginia.

Chris will be the new local Baltimore artist the brewery will begin working with in 2020. For 2019, local artist, Owen Murphy of One Drop Design Studio, designed both the 23rd Anniversary Ale label and all labels for the brewery’s 15 Barrel Brewhouse taproom exclusive can releases.

“I always wanted to do a project designing beer labels, so working with Heavy Seas could not have been a more fun experience,” says Owen Murphy. “Being given full artistic freedom on each label was the best possible scenario for me as an artist. I could not be more satisfied with how it came out and hope to work with them more in the future.”

“Working with the Heavy Seas team on the 24th anniversary beer and the 15 Barrel Brewhouse artwork is definitely a bucket-list job,” says Chris Gipple. “These guys are giving me so much creative freedom to explore, allowing me to be 100% authentic to my style. Ask any creative professional you know, that’s truly a luxury on most projects. As a result, you can expect vibrant, gig-poster inspired, visual representations of these flavors.”

Heavy Seas will be hosting a 24th Anniversary Party on Friday, December 6th in the Taproom at the brewery in Halethorpe, MD to release the beer.

What better way to celebrate 24 years of brewing what we love than with x4 the hops? This quadruple IPA is our really big way of saying thank you. Bursting with notes of grapefruit, orange and ripe stone fruit, it brings a juiciness to every celebration. Without the support of your crew, we wouldn’t be here today. We love you (almost) as much as we love good beer. Cheers to you, and cheers to 24!

“Heavy Seas is known for making robust, powerful beers and a wide variety of IPA’s,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Recently, we’ve also been having a lot of fun with hazy, juicy, hoppy beers that have been well received. So, we decided to put it all together for our 24th Anniversary Ale – a 14% ABV, 75 IBU Hazy “Quadrupel” IPA brewed with oats, wheat and hopped to absurd levels with over four pounds per barrel of Citra, Galaxy, Enigma, and Simcoe. There’s enormous buzz in the brewery about this beer. We can’t wait to get it into the hands of all of our fans!”

Style: Quadruple IPA

ABV: 14%

IBU: 65

Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Galaxy, Enigma

Malts: 2-Row, Wheat Malt, Flakes Oats, Dextrose

BALTIMORE – The “Uncharted Waters” series by Heavy Seas Beer will soon welcome the 2019 edition of Great’er Pumpkin, a bourbon barrel aged pumpkin ale with spices, available in both 4 packs of 12oz bottles and on draft. The brewery will also be introducing an extremely limited, draft-only variant of the beer brewed with coffee, lactose & vanilla.

Great’er Pumpkin pours a rich, deep burnished orange color with a thick white head. Aromas of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and clove give this brew a great aromatic complexity, while British crystal malt, brown sugar, and pumpkin add a sense of weight and body. Bourbon barrel aging rounds out its flavors with notes of oak, vanilla, and bourbon. A beer not to be missed!

Great’er Pumpkin Latte is aged in bourbon barrels with locally roasted coffee and vanilla beans. The addition of lactose gives a creamy, steamed milk-like flavor to this complex and decadent brew.

Both versions of Great’er Pumpkin will be available starting this week and throughout September in limited markets within Heavy Seas’ distribution footprint.

“What’s great about fall? Sure, there’s football, leaves changing, and cooler weather. But, my favorite thing is the return of malty beers! And, the style of beer I like best to ease into autumn is a traditional German Oktoberfest,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard.

“We’ve brewed one that is even a bit maltier than you might normally find, with loads of bready, biscuity Munich malt, and balanced with just the right amount of Noble European hops (Hallertau in particular). At 5.5% ABV, it provides just the right amount of flavor and drinkability. Prost!”

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the sixth release from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse in 2019, Scoops, a Chocolate Vanilla Twist Milkshake IPA. This beer will be exclusively available in the Heavy Seas Taproom at the brewery on Friday, August 16, 2019, in 4-packs of 16oz cans and on draft.

Combining the flavors of chocolate and vanilla, Scoops is a milkshake IPA with an indulgent twist. Brewed with loads of chocolate and vanilla for decadence and sweetness, and lactose for a rich & creamy finish, Scoops is an IPA lover’s dessert dream come true.

“A rich, decadent Chocolate Vanilla Twist Milkshake IPA, this beer was brewed with imported English Maris Otter, Chocolate, Black, and Crystal malts along with a hefty portion of flaked oats,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Almost 10 lbs per barrel of milk sugar (lactose), more than a pound per barrel of imported cocoa nibs, and just the right amount (which is A LOT) of vanilla blend to make this brew silky smooth deliciousness. Oh, and don’t forget the IPA part. We used only English hops to provide a unique earthy dry finish to balance the luscious flavors and make this beer surprisingly drinkable.”

Style: Milkshake IPA

ABV: 5.5%

IBU: 40

The Scoops label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Owen Murphy, of One Drop Design Studio. All the taproom exclusive beer labels will be designed by Owen in 2019.

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the fifth release from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse in 2019, Bmore Snoball, an Egg Custard Blonde Ale. This beer will be exclusively available in the Heavy Seas Taproom at the brewery on Friday, July 26, 2019 in 4 packs of 16oz cans and on draft.

Egg Custard is the original snoball flavor of Baltimore that was introduced when ice was first made available for commercial use during the Industrial Revolution. Northeastern states would send blocks of ice to southern states like Florida, and their route would pass right though Baltimore. During the humid summers, children started to ask for shavings of the ice to cool them off. Their mothers then decided to start making syrups to flavor the ice by using a recipe of vanilla, sugar, and eggs. Today, the flavor is just named Egg Custard and is simply a golden colored vanilla syrup (it does not taste like eggs).

“We used imported, nutty Maris Otter Pale malt as the base for this Blonde Ale inspired by the classic Baltimore summer treat,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “A touch of Munich Malt provides a hint of bready character to go with a whisper of Strisselspalt hops. To replicate the Egg Custard Snoball flavor, we’ve added vanilla (LOTS of vanilla!) and just a touch of nutmeg and cinnamon. The result is a beer with a comforting aroma, a sweet dessert-like start and a surprisingly soft finish.”

Style: Blonde Ale brewed with vanilla and spice ABV: 5.5% IBU: 4

The Bmore Snoball label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Owen Murphy, of One Drop Design Studio. All the taproom exclusive beer labels will be designed by Owen in 2019.

BALTIMORE, MD – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the fourth release from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse in 2019, En Route, a Brut IPA with yuzu juice. This beer will be exclusively available in the Heavy Seas Taproom at the brewery on Friday, June 21, 2019 in 4 packs of 16oz cans and on draft.

“Our newest creation, En Route Brut IPA, is an incredibly dry, quenching, hoppy brew with virtually no residual sugar,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Wonderfully aromatic, heavy dry hop doses of Citra and Mosaic hops also provide a soft, subdued bitterness. The addition of first pressed yuzu juice exacerbates the magnificent citrus bouquet, redolent of pink grapefruit and exotic fruits. A fine carbonation and fluffy white head add to this champagne-esque experience.”

The En Route Brut label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Owen Murphy, of One Drop Design Studio. All the taproom exclusive beer labels will be designed by Owen in 2019.

BALTIMORE – The “Uncharted Waters” series by Heavy Seas Beer will welcome a brand new offering in June 2019: Red Flag, Barrel Aged Sour Ale. This beer will be available in both 4 packs of 12oz bottles and draft throughout the Heavy Seas distribution footprint.

Brewed in the classic Flemish Red style, Red Flag is brewed in small batches on our 15 Barrel Brewhouse. Each batch is aged in stainless and then moved to bourbon and red wine barrels for further maturing. The barrels are then hand selected and blended to create the most complex and seductive sour ale possible. Red Flag is the first sour offering in the Uncharted Waters series. Deep ruby in color, this barrel aged sour ale delights with sweet malt tones, complex fruit undertones, and a deliciously tart finish.

“We are very excited about Red Flag, as it is the first barrel aged beer we’ve produced with wild yeast and bacteria,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Red Flag is inspired by the tart, dry, Sour Red and Brown ales of Flanders. Ultimately, it will be a blend of six different batches of “sour” beer aged in 4 different “styles” of barrels. It’s been quite a complicated, but exciting process. Blending all of these similar but different barrels and “fresh beer” to create one dynamic, complex, mysterious, funky, tart offering has been an amazing journey for us. And, as a bonus, we will be holding on to some of the beer in barrels to allow for some fun, interesting blending down the road. We don’t yet know when or how, but I have no doubt we’ll find a way to use these in more fascinating projects in the future!”

Here are the product specs:

Style: Barrel Aged Sour Ale
ABV: 8%
IBU: 5
Hops: Strisselspalt
Malts: 2-Row, CaraMedium, CaraDark, CaraExtraDark

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the next release from its 15 Barrel Brewhouse, Paw Power, a Wheat Ale brewed with orange peel and black currant. This beer will be exclusively available in 4packs of 16oz cans and on draft in the Heavy Seas Taproom at the brewery during its annual Pups & Pints event on May 19, 2019. A portion of all draft beer sales during this event and sales of Paw Power 4packs will be donated to the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter (BARCS).

“We wanted to create a beer with BARCS that would appeal to dog-friendly folks with an outdoor lifestyle,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “A light, slightly spicy wheat ale inspired by the white ales of Belgium was our choice to create a refreshing, low ABV, “summer is coming” beer that will make people smile. Orange peel and black currant puree adds a fruity, tart, colorful dimension to this canned homage to our furry friends!”

“After a few years of doing Pups & Pints in our taproom, we knew we wanted to take our partnership with BARCS to the next level,” says Heavy Seas Associate Brand Manager, Amanda Zivkovic. “We felt there was no better way to do that than to tie in a can release where even more donations could be made to an organization that we are truly passionate about. Ultimately, Baltimore is our home, and we care not only about giving back to its people, but also its animals.”

“Here at BARCS, we know that saving lives starts with strong relationships within our Baltimore community” said Jennifer Brause, Executive Director and Founder of BARCS. “We are incredibly thankful to expand our longstanding partnership with Heavy Seas through the release of the Paw Power charity beer. Combined with the annual Pups & Pints event, we expect many adoptions, successful fundraising and greater awareness about our mission.”

Pups & Pints will take place at the Heavy Seas brewery on Sunday, May 19th from 11:00am – 8:00pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their dogs and enjoy live music, food trucks, and outdoor games. BARCS will also have dogs that are available for adoption on site. This is a ticketed event, with all $5 ticket proceeds being donated to BARCS, as well as a portion of all draft beers sales, and a portion of sales of 4packs of Paw Power. More information and advanced tickets can be found at www.hsbeer.com.

BALTIMORE, MD — Heavy Seas Beer will soon welcome the 2019 edition of Smooth Sail, an American wheat ale with citrus, available in both 6 packs of 12oz cans and on draft. The brewery will also introduce an extremely limited, draft only variant of the beer, Mixed Berry Smooth Sail, brewed with raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries.

Both versions of Smooth Sail will be available starting in April. The Mixed Berry Smooth Sail will only be available in select markets within Heavy Seas’ distribution footprint.

This is not your average summer ale. We’ve created the most refreshingly delicious American wheat ale. Brewed with lemon and orange peel, Smooth Sail finishes with a citrus kick. At 4.5% ABV you’ll have your new pool beer. Available on draft and cans only, it’s the perfect beer for trips to the park, hiking, or just sitting on the beach with your friends. A summer day. Kick back, relax, enjoy – a light breeze will take you to your happy place.

“With more than 20% malted wheat, Smooth Sail has an airy mouthfeel and a frothy head,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard.

“Smooth Sail is actually one of my favorite Heavy Seas beers. It’s so easy to drink, flavorful, and refreshing when the sun comes out. I’m a huge berry fan – Blackberries, Strawberries, and Raspberries in particular. So, what better way to create a twist on a great beer than with fruits that make me happy? Hopefully, the folks lucky enough to find this on tap will be happy too!”

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the first release from its 15 bbl brewhouse in 2019, Joose Cannon, a Hazy Juicy IPA brewed with tangerine. This beer will be exclusively available in the Heavy Seas Taproom at the brewery on March 8, 2019 in 4 packs of 16oz cans and on draft.

Joose Cannon is an exciting twist on our flagship IPA, Loose Cannon. The beer is hazy from heavy use of oats and wheat. An alternate dry-hopping procedure, along with tangerine puree and massive doses of Citra and Simcoe hops, provide tropical and citrus aromas.

“After developing Citra Cannon, we decided we should take the ‘Juicy IPA’ concept to another level. Thus, Joose Cannon was born,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “I was blown away by the aroma and bright, fresh flavor of the tangerine puree, so incorporating it into Joose Cannon was a no-brainer. We’re having a lot of fun with the releases on the 15 bbl brewhouse so far and I am confident this one will make a lot of people very happy!”

BALTIMORE, MD – The “Uncharted Waters” series by Heavy Seas Beer will soon welcome the 2019 edition of Blackbeard’s Breakfast, an Imperial Coffee Porter aged in bourbon barrels, available in both 4 packs of 12oz bottles and on draft. The brewery will also be introducing an extremely limited, draft only variant of the beer brewed with house made caramel and sea salt.

Both versions of Blackbeard’s Breakfast will be available starting in February. The Salted Caramel Blackbeard’s will only be available in select markets within Heavy Seas’ distribution footprint. These states include: Maryland, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Delaware, New Jersey, North Carolina, Rhode Island, and Ohio.

The limited draft only version is finished with house made caramel and salt to create an even more complex and tantalizing flavor.

“We decided for 2019 that we wanted to produce some draft-only “twists” on some of our Uncharted Waters beers,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “The first one is a Salted Caramel version of Blackbeard’s Breakfast, our Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Coffee Porter. We add cold brewed coffee after barrel aging when we produce this beer. So, we put some of the barrel-aged, non-coffee Blackbeard’s Breakfast into a tank with house-made caramel and imported sea salt. The non-coffee, variant of Blackbeard’s Breakfast has a more pronounced vanilla flavor and aroma, along with a rich toffee, caramel flavor that is balanced nicely with the hint of salt. There are still some coffee-like roasted notes, but they provide a much subtler layer to the flavor profile.”

BALTIMORE – Heavy Seas Beer is excited to announce the release of 23 Anniversary Ale, a Triple IPA to celebrate the brewery’s 23rd year of brewing craft beer in Baltimore. This limited release will be available in December in the following states within its distribution footprint: Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Ohio, North Carolina, and Florida.

23 is the first beer to be released by Heavy Seas in a 4pack of 16oz cans with PSLs (pressure sensitive labels). The 23 label artwork was designed by local Baltimore artist, Owen Murphy of One Drop Design Studio.

Heavy Seas will be hosting a 23rd Anniversary Party on Friday, December 7th in the Tap Room at the brewery in Halethorpe, MD. This will be the first time customers can try 23 on draft or purchase the Triple IPA in cans.

With an enormous amount of Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, and Cascade hops added in the boil, the hopback and then triple dry hopped, this juicy and tantalizing brew will absolutely destroy your palate with hop flavor.

“A beast of a beer, the subtle hop aromas belie its depth and power,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Over tones of berry and melon blend with some tropical fruit and white grape notes to intrigue without overpowering. A hint of cracker, candi sugar and toffee lead into brown sugar, pine and more tropical fruit flavors. A warming, semi-dry finish with lingering berry and citrus flavors, completes the 23 experience.”

Style: Triple IPA

ABV: 11.5%

IBU: 85

Hops: Simcoe, Citra, Mosaic, Cascade

Malts: 2-Row, Munich, Caramalt

BALTIMORE, MD – Heavy Seas Beer’s fall/winter limited release, Winter Storm, is about to make it’s triumphal return! “It was our first international gold medal winning beer,” says brewery Founder, Hugh Sisson. “And I’m not supposed to say it, but I think it may be my favorite beer!”

The Imperial ESB will be available starting in October in all states where Heavy Seas beer is distributed. Our winter ale draws on hops from the West Coast and the UK for its pronounced bitterness. A mix of pale and darker malts give it its tawny color and its bigger body. True to the style, Winter Storm’s aroma is nutty malts and earthy hops. This is a perfect beer for fall, especially because of its warming qualities.

The product specs are:

Style: Imperial Extra Special Bitter (ESB)

ABV: 7.5%

IBU: 50

Hops: Warrior, UK Goldings, UK Fuggles, Cascade, Centennial

Malts: 2-row, Crystal, Caramalt, Chocolate Malt

BALTIMORE, MD – The “Uncharted Waters” Series by Heavy Seas Beer has welcomed back Great’er Pumpkin, an Imperial Pumpkin Ale aged in bourbon barrels. This limited release is available starting now in September in all states where Heavy Seas beer is distributed. Also, for 2018, all “Uncharted Waters” Series beers will now be available in 4 packs of 12oz bottles, no longer 22oz.

ABV: 10%

TreasureFest is an American spin on the classic German style. Brewed with imported German malt and lavishly hopped with a blend of German hops in the kettle and dry hopped with American hops, this is a fresh look at the old Oktober stand-by.

“I am a huge fan of Oktoberfest-style beers,” says Heavy Seas Brewmaster, Christopher Leonard. “Their arrival portends the cool, colorful autumn season that is my favorite time of year. The distinct bready, biscuity malt profile that is their soul speaks to my

I’m thrilled to be able to provide a Heavy Seas twist by dry-hopping our interpretation with floral American hops. It should be no surprise to those familiar with our beers that we’ve boosted the malt bill and ABV to help keep the robust hopping in balance. If you like Oktoberfest-style beers and enjoy American IPA’s, this beer just might be the love child hybrid you have been waiting for.”
